Mike brings savvy political experience and knowledge to the table. Don’t judge Mike just because he has a degree in political science from the University of Illinois though! He’s an expert Organizer and has developed relationships statewide that have been responsible for economic development, meal programs and educational initiatives for children. Before joining ICCS in 2012, Mike worked at the Governor’s Office of Citizens Assistance and then the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Office of Coal Development. Mike became Communications Director in 2014 and has been the voice (and face) of ICCS promoting our positive programs, representing us in press conferences, advocating for Human Services in legislative hearings and speaking publicly about the Budget impasse. If there is a microphone nearby, Mike is behind it! In 2015, Mike was promoted to Associate Director.
