A message from our CEO:
As 2021 draws to an end we certainly can look back and reflect on what was, what could have been and what should be now. While our past experiences shape who we become, the importance of looking forward and staying focused is paramount. In our industry, looking forward is important. It helps us to press on, plan appropriately and identify new ways we can help ourselves and those we serve. All of our work is accomplished by people. Our industry has high standards. Advanced degrees, certifications, licensures, educational components and strong administrative expectations that would not be able to be met if the professionals we have on staff did not have the capability to meet these demands. This isn’t a 9-5 job. It’s a passion and a career that should be able to be done with the same level of comfortability and professional aspirations as any other field. Just as an airline attendant would tell you, affix the oxygen mask to yourself first so you can then take care of others; forward thinking, proper execution of plans and resolve help us to look ahead so we may take care of each other which in turn, enables us to take care of those who need our help and guidance. With that in mind, thank you to the hard working team at ICCS who work tirelessly, evenings and weekends, to not only serve our communities but who write grants, report vital data, organize and keep up with required administrative needs and demonstrate the mindful expertise to keep things running and beyond. We will continue to look forward and press on so we can be prepared with action and progress for the many communities we serve throughout the entire state.
